Course Objectives of Auto Diagnosis Technician

Upon completing this course, trainees will be able to:

  • Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, electronic, and network-related vehicle faults using systematic diagnostic procedures.
  • Operate advanced diagnostic equipment including OBD-II scanners, OEM diagnostic tools, oscilloscopes, multimeters, pressure testers, smoke machines, and thermal cameras.
  • Interpret Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), live data, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer service information.
  • Diagnose gasoline, diesel, hybrid, and electric vehicles using manufacturer-approved procedures.
  • Support workshop productivity through technical analysis, documentation, and repair verification.
  • Safely road-test and evaluate vehicles before and after repairs.
  • Use computer applications, workshop management systems, and manufacturer diagnostic software.
  • Communicate technical information professionally in English with customers, technicians, manufacturers, and international employers.
  • Apply international standards for workshop safety, quality assurance, environmental protection, and professional ethics.
